Earn up to 10,000 Avios by applying for these new Qatar credit cards

If you’re looking for a new cobranded airline credit card and want to earn some easy Avios while you’re at it, this could be the promotion for you.

Right now, Qatar Airlines is offering free Avios when you join the waitlist for either of its two soon-to-come credit cards, a Visa Infinite version and a Visa Signature option.

Here’s what to know and how to cash in those Avios.

How to get up to 10,000 Avios with the new Qatar credit cards

To qualify for this promotion, you’ll have to join the waitlist for the new cards, both of which have their applications going live in early May.

If you join the waitlist and get either credit card within the first 30 days of the applications going live, you’ll be eligible for bonus Avios: 5,000 extra Avios when approved for the Visa Signature card or 10,000 extra Avios when approved for the Visa Infinite card.

You’ll also have to meet the minimum spend requirement on these cards’ welcome offers to earn your extra Avios, although the 5,000-10,000 Avios are separate bonuses from the cards’ actual welcome offers.

Card details are scant at the moment, but both look like they’ll be solid earners of one of the most valuable airline currencies around.

Bottom line

These waitlist bonuses are a nice addition to what will be two interesting credit card launches in 2024. Between the early sign-up bonuses, the welcome offers and the fact that both cards will earn valuable Avios rewards, they’ll definitely be worth a look for Qatar loyalists upon launch in early May.

Stay tuned for more information on these cards, and don’t hesitate to take advantage if either of these cards seems to be up your alley.
